Gwen and I went up to Fork last Tuesday and fished the day with Matt Reed. We didn't have a huge numbers day but the quality was there. We caught 16-18, maybe 20 fish. The smallest was 3-3 1/2 pounds and the largest 8 1/2 with several 7-7 1/2 pounders. Our smallest 5 would have pushed 20 pounds and our largest 5 would have gone at least 36-38.
Matt is on some good fish. He gets $400 a day and any tip you want to give him. Two of you could spend $200 each and maybe have the trip of a lifetime. Of course there are no guarantees but the chances are pretty good for a great day.
He will be there most of next week and the last I heard did have a few days open. His mother passed away Friday morning and the funeral is Monday so I don't know when he will actually go back up to Fork. He leaves to go north for the next round of Elite Series stuff the following week.
