Not sure where he was but I predicted the tournament would be won in Caney or up north on the river channel.

There's a bend in the creek that comes close to the edge of the timber right in that area. Wonder if thats what he was fishing?

I actually got to talk to Ike while waiting on top of the dam before heading back to the weigh in. Yes, he was fishing the area where I had put the spider blocks out. He fished that area Friday and Saturday pulling out over 50 pounds of fish. He said Sunday he managed one fish there and then it died. He said he followed the chanel West to another area that was just like the first and he said it was on. He said by 10 am he had his 5th fish and it started to die off around noon. He was fishing a medium size crank in the 7-12' colume. He said what brand but I forgot. I do know he had about 5 rods rigged with crank baits. When he was discribing where he was fishing I said something about the spider blocks I had put out there and he confirmed that he had found them and they were holding some fish.

I've got a Side Image picture of Ron's spiderblocks... I also remember Terry Reich dumping some blocks in that area too... There are tons of brush and blocks all along that area, plus that sunken bridge near the Scotts Ridge Boat ramp... Caney is such a diverse creek to fish.
