After 2 construction sessions with the TTBC (Lake Conroe) project, the club has manufactured nearly 600 spider blocks. The TPWD has found an herbicide group who is willing to assist with the placement of the blocks into the lake. They have 2 air boats, and along with 2 more air boats from the TPWD (and possibly another boat with the SJRA), hopefully all 600 will make it into the lake on Thursday. Two intended spots for these blocks are 1. just off of the SJRA office away from the boat dock, and 2. the outside edges of the extended flat between Pumphouse Cove and Ayres Island. Two more spots are being researched.

Any club member who would like to assist the group with the dropping of the blocks this Thursday is more than welcome to come out to the SJRA "nursery site" beginning at 8:00am. They could use the help.

On the same note...we will be resting this weekend, and doing a final construction day to finish up the remaining 300 (??) blocks on Saturday October 8th. Will post a reminder the week before. Please consider keeping the 8th as a "save the date".
