Shoreline Vegetation Project Set To Go

Two of our conservation partners (the TPWD & the US Army Corps of Engineers) will be at the Scott's Ridge launch site this coming Tuesday (August 2nd) at 8:00am to commence the shoreline vegetation project on Lake Conroe. The goal of this project is to create starter colonies of water willow (and other species), with the hopes that it eventually will create 5-10 miles of vegetated shoreline throughout the north end.

Any member with a desire to help is welcome. All you have to do is just show up, and the partners will take care of the rest.

Glad to see this Ron. It's a shame they don't have it on the weekend. I may try to run over there Tuesday to take some pics.

I will be out of town all week but if we could get some cat tails to grow too that would be awesome. Anyone have some cat tail seeds to spread?
