National Fish Habitat Action Plan-Survey

Received this in an email earlier today. Please look it over and consider taking the survey. The National Fish Habitat Board is currently reviewing their goals and objectives for the next 5 years, and it's important that we don't let the "salties" garner the majority of the funding (what little of it that will be available). I marked numbers 6, 7, 9, 10, and 12...with number 14 getting a lot of consideration.

Thanks,

Ron

National Fish Habitat Action Plan Priority Objectives Survey

The National Fish Habitat Action Plan (the Action Plan), developed in 2006, brings federal, state, tribal, non-profit and local partners together in a national partnership to improve fish habitats across the United States in a collaborative, science-based, and non-regulatory manner. The national partnership has also recognized seventeen regionally-based Fish Habitat Partnerships (FHPs) that are implementing fish habitat conservation and protection projects in communities around the country.

As we get ready for the next five years of work, the National Fish Habitat Board is updating and revising the Action Plan to reflect past progress and current needs of fish habitats and partner organizations. An initial scoping meeting of conservation professionals has been conducted to outline possible primary objectives for the Action Plan, and we invite you to participate by providing input to help determine priorities. This is your opportunity to help direct fish habitat conservation activities across the nation for the next five years. Please take a minute to answer our three question survey.
