Cory Filer is a young man that was my co-angler in 2009 for annual the Kids' Unlimited Tournament on Fayette County.  For those that do not know, the Kids Unlimited Foundation is a non-profit organization formed to benefit children stricken with cancer.  They hold a lot of events, of which both patients undergoing treatment and those that are in remission participate.  It is like family.

He posted this yesterday on his Facebook page..."Have had a scare for the past few days.  Have a lump on my neck. I got it scaned today, and now we are just waiting.  One more thing is the a worry button I can turn off on my mom."

Please include Cory and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Yeah, from some of the posts I have seen, he is the calm cool kid that does not worry about things beyond his control. Of course now he his in his mid-teens, so he probably thinks he is invinceable.

Cory's scans came back clear (AMEN!), but they are still doing more testing today at Texas Children's.
