I don't know about ya'll, but I was glad to get the first one out of the way. It was tough out there today after a week of foul/cold weather.
Congrats to those that made it through today, especially the ones that were good enough to weigh some fish today and to those that finished in the money:
12th - Randy Wagner 8th - Chris Brewsaugh 5th - Robert Thierry 4th - Terry Reich
Thanks again to Terry Reich for the hospitality at La Casa de Reich. The steaks were awesome!

Yes, Thomas & I could only bring in 1 fish (Thomas's), nibbles & misses did not count yesterday !!
Also, a big thanks to Terry Reich for the great steak dinner & room / board for the night. I did not have to get up extra early & make that cold / icy road trip from my home in Copperfield !!!! Thanks again Terry !
Well I have received the envelope and the standings show SCBC is out of the gates with a 70 point lead over the American Anglers and then Onalaska. That is a big lead for the first T. SCBC's top 6 came in with approx. 13 pounds more than AA had. Good job to our Fantastic 4 and any other clubbies that weighed in. Out of 138 anglers ther were only 41 that weighed. Looks like deja vu of last year at Sam.
Amen, to its over. Come on warm weather.

Did the results that you received show that my fish (one and only) had any weight to it? I looked at the standings and it showed one fish weighed/one fish alive but it showed no weight. Any ideas what may have happened?
I figured out this morning why I did not weigh a fish. I was wearing a Texans cap Saturday. That is an obvious kiss of death. Gotta burn all of those things.
I don't think I've ever fished so hard without a bump. Uggh. That was humbling. But, instead of being P.O'd , I was pleased to know that I could survive. My butt-cold weather gear worked well. My hands got cold - but I was able to keep my line wet. So I gave myself a pat on the back for finishing the race.
Terry lost one that wrapped under a pier, so at least I got a glimpse of a fish that cold cold morning.
