Fire Extinguisher in Boat

Hi All,

I caught the tail end of a brief discussion during the club meeting about our fire extinguisher in the boat needs to have a readable gauge.

The one that came with my new boat does not have a gauge attached. Does that mean it's does not comply with tournament/Coast Guard rules?

Thanks,

Simon

If it is the type that has the green button at the top, that is a test button and it must pop back up when depressed. I learned this from a game warden and got a warning because the one in my boat at the top did not pop back up. However, the one in my boat is that style and did pop back up, but I bought another one because I didn't know the age of it and didn't want to take a chance.
