A Big congrats to (SCBC member) Robert Thierry for winning the SE Texas Region Top 40 "Boater Division" Championship on Lake LBJ Sept 21-22. After trailing the leader on Day 1, Robert put together a solid sack on day 2 to win First, and earn a spot on our State team that will be moving on to the B.A.S.S. Central Divisional.

Amen to Congratulations to Robert for taking first place at the Top 40. You have earned a spot on the Texas Team and I am so proud of you brother. You maintained a positive attitude and made adjustments the second day to win this difficult tournament. Great fishing! Also Congratulations to Gary and Aaron for bringing home a check. Seven Coves Bass Club is well represented we should all be proud. Great fishing to Jason boater for getting a check and Walter non-boater as well for big bass.

Awesome fishing Robert! Great job SCBC! Robert put together two solid days making adjustments to changing conditions and took the win by over 7 lbs.! The state team just got stronger with a solid competitor! Congratulations also go out to Jason Foster on the boater side who finished 4th and took home a check.
On the co-angler side Arron Slaten put together two good bags to finish 2nd and Gary Fannin finished 5th to bring home checks. Walter Ramirez also took Co-angler big bass honors with a nice 5.68lb. LBJ toad. Great job guys!
Thanks to all the SCBC members who attended the Top 40. I hope everyone had a good time and look forward to more Top 40's!
I want to thank the SE Region Directors for a fantastic year of well run events and putting on a great Top 40. Also thanks to all the clubs and anglers in the SE Region. Great bunch of folks and always competitive!
Next opportunity to make the state team will be at the state championship on Lake Belton in November. We still have open spots if any of our BASS Nation members want to participate. Two more SE Region anglers will earn a boater and co-angler spot on the state team at the state championship! If you have not already committed to the state championship and are interested please let me know!
Thanks Guys was a special weekend. Practice started Wednesday was a slow day it was hot and bright caught a few with the best being a 4 pounder off a dock. Thursday was much better partly cloudy got on a frog and top water bite that was awesome probably had over 20 pounds. Friday first tournament day was Very overcast with rain struggled with the top water bite but managed a limit then caught a 7.03 kicker on a swim bait . Saturday started very slow only a few short fish no keepers by 11.30 so decided to go back to big fish spot best decision ever made in a tournament third cast 7.14 then a 5 gave my co angler a swim bait he caught two back to back then a 5 pounder thought I cost myself but just went with it wind picked up was fishing in 4 foot rollers then I caught 2 back to back three pounders and a few smaller fish. Then went back where I caught 7.14 hooked up with a 3 after just saying cant believe cant catch any fish off the rocks then culled stood up cast back same rock another 7 pounder then the wind picked up more .trolling motor said no no so had to drift fish caught another cull off c-rig swim bait then no-mas wind very angry now its 2.00 decided to head back early my co-anglers came in 3rd 4th in tournament was very blessed. haven't been in that type of zone in quite a while gives me chills thinking about it was just happening in the moment some one was definitely watching over me. thanks again enjoy being in seven coves great bunch of guys.
Congrats to all in SCBC for doing so well. Congrats to Robert... sounds like you had a heck of a day on day 2 where despite the odds, things just came together for you.
