...All of the SCBC members who participated/volunteered in the recent Conaway Family fundraiser tournament. The Katy boys put on a first rate tournament out of Papa's, and there was a strong Seven Coves presence in support to assist in the fundraising. I saw Jimmy Patterson and Ned Westmoreland there volunteering their energies to help. Paul Garrett donated new trailer tires for the raffle. Many SCBC members (at least more than 10 that I am aware of) paid entry fees, fished, and bought raffle tickets for the event. Congrats to Terry and Brandon Reich for placing second...and for donating their prize check to the Conaway family.
This club has always stepped up to the plate to help others in need. I've seen this happen over and over, since I became a member 11 years ago...which makes me very proud to be able to call myself a member.
SCBC did have a good showing and I was happy to be able to break away for few hours to lend a hand with the tournament. The Katy guys were very appreciative for our help. Richard McGehee told me that the benefit raised over $5K with the entries, raffle, and anglers who donated back their winnings to the family.
Dido to what Ron said SCBC showed great support in several ways and Ron you helping with the fish was much appreciated. I am so proud of all the SCBC members mentioned and those that fished the tournament. My thanks to you all. Thanks Ned for the great pictures and they will always be a reminder to me on how special it is to spend time with our loved ones. God blessed me with a great son and what a great day of fishing we had. I too feel very blessed to be a part of the SCBC family. God bless all.
