Lifting Ring for a 225 Opti

Anyone in the club have a lifting ring that I can borrow for a weekend?  Need the one that threads into the flywheel of a 225HP Optimax.  Have to pull the motor from the jack plate so I can disassemble and  re-tighten the internal jack plate bolts.  Please let me know if you have one I can borrow.

thanks!

I've got one, Ned, but I'm clear up here near Riverside. Let me know.

Thanks Karl and Carl! It may be a couple of weeks before my buddy can clear some room for me to get it under his A-frame lift, but I'll certainly need it. I looked at the hole and it looks to be about 1.5" pipe threaded ( or a fine thread ). I looked it up and I think the one for the 200 will work fine. Carl, I'll call you to see if I can meet you to pick it up. Hopefully I can get this done in the next two to three weeks. Looks like it will be a quick job once I get the motor off the plate so I won't need it for long. Thanks again guys!

I have an engine lift you are welcome to use as well. And an wood engine stand. You could leave it on the lift though.

These work on all bigger Merc's except Verado, got mine from these folks http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercury-Mariner-Flywheel-Puller-91-849154T1-Lift-Ring-91-90455-1-Lifting-Eye-/371049441569?hash=item5664452921&vxp=mtr

Carl, I need to build a stand, got any pics of how you did yours? I came up with this on google sketch but think I'd make it bigger in most directions

Won't need the lift. I'm taking the boat up to one of my friends shops to use their mobile hoist. They have everything there I need to do the job except the lifting ring..
thanks again!
