COTY Stats

Just some useless info I found interesting, but a contributing result to our 4th COTY:

Average Number of Entries Per Tourny:  122

SCBC Top 10 Finishes:  14

SCBC Wins:  2

Rookies in the Top 40:  5  (35% of club's Top 40)

Rookies in the club Top 6:  4

Total Members in Top 40:  14  (26% of club Fed members)

A big THANK YOU to all the new members that helped make this possible.  Hopefully we have the opportunity to fish with you in the off-season Jelly Jars and learn a few things from the new bloods!

Amen Derek! We have some new members that are awesome fishermen. The greatest opportunity for improving our fishing skills is learning from each other. There is not one bass fishing class or seminar that can bring this much fishing experience all in one place. I say lets take advantage of this opportunity. I am in need of learning more about my Hummingbird Side Imaging system and fishing deep structure. I am off every other Friday starting next Friday so lets go fishing.

Just out of curiosity, do we keep stats on how we finished within our club and if so where is it posted?

Chris I was keeping a roster in the "Members Only" section of the SCBC website, but now since the Fed season is over, there's no reason to do so.  Listed below are the club standings, then Fed standings.  You can also go here to see where you were:  Fed YTD Standings

1/3)  Thomas Ferro

2/6) Robert Thierry

3/10)  Scott Havran

4/15)  Jason Foster

5/17)  Ricky Bishop

6/19)  Jeff Brown

7/21)  Kenny Curlee

8/24)  Michael Gasaway

9/27)  Dustil Hill

10/32)  Mike Parsons

11/33)  Tommy Whitt

12/34)  Chris Brewswaugh

13/37)  Ron Kost

14/38)  Bubby Stokely

15/41)  Gwen Reed

16/48)  Ron Gunter

17/51)  Terry Reed

18/57)  Randy Wagner

19/62)  Terry Reich

20/69)  Jason Gunter

I'll stop there...I don't want to be reminded of how bad I sucked.

Tommy when a Top 40 qualifier drops they go down the list. I wish you would fish it because it is a great event. You worked hard this year to get there. Thats what everyone strives for during the year, a TOP 40 spot. But I know the kiddos are priority and nobody wants to piss mama off. My wife usually can't wait until I'm gone.

Terry I too am in need of understanding my Humminbird 997SI better. So,I may not be the one you want to learn with.I would like to learn more about the system from someone that has been using it for awhile.KVD says he's just to busy right now to help me out so maybe, just maybe my first friend here in Texas, Matt Russell would like to help me learn more about the SI unit on my boat.I come from the old school of flashers and black and white fish finders for the past 25 years.I really do want to learn how to manage my fishing abilities while using high tech Humminbird SI. Thanx to anyone wanting to show me what they know.I thank you in advance for any help.

Refering to the last sentance, Now that's a sad statement David Glezman. I would quit fishin or anything else if my Wife felt that way.

Tommy, would it be possible to have the birthday party for your little princess on another date that does not fall on the top 40.Kids really don't care, as long as they get the party.I am speaking as a father of 3 and even they will tell you the same.If you worked hard to make the show, make the show. Your Daughter won't remember this in a year or so anyway.Good Luck making that decision my friend.Been there, done that and it always worked out just fine and everyone is happy.

Lonnie that sentence just means that she knows how much I love to fish and she would rather have me out on the water doing what I love. It's called getting older I guess. If I can't go fishing I become grumpy and she doesn't like that. After my fishing fix I become easier to get along with and also she knows that she doesn't have to cook while I'm gone. The youger guys (couples) will realize this later in life.

Madison said I could fish the top 40. If she had her party the week before.

Ouch -I slipped from 28 to 41. That dead fish penalty got me. Oh well. Even though I didn't earn a top 40 spot, I imagine someone will fall out and I'll still get to go. I just don't want it to be someone from our club!

Nice to know who rules the roost. It's OK though. I had three little girls that ruled it as well.
