The owner of Fish Hazard Rods has access to some 7'6" flipping rods that were part of a build for a manufacturer. There was an overrun in production so there is a "quantity" of rods leftover. Each rod is built out of a IM10 blank, cork grips and PacBay alconite guides. There will be no labels or writing on the rods. Retail on these rods is $159. He will be selling these rods for approx $60/ea to recoup some of the cost.
I will see him next week as I am fishing the Lake Austin Draw Down with him for three days. If interested give me cash on Saturday at the Jelly Jar and I will pick the rod or rods up for you and we can make arrangments to meet upon my return. Below is a pic of some of the rods.
Instead of having to get money from everyone now. I will pick up the rods and bring them back with me. I can then meet everyone in Conroe the weekend of the 29th and you can pay me and I will give you the rods you order.
I would like 2 Daniel,1 SPLIT GRIP and 1 FULL PLEASE...Thank You! I am right around the corner from your Dad and Mark Brenkman. Do these rods have reel seats?

You might want to think about stopping by and getting your eyes checked soon.
I can't see anything in the picture, not even the rod.LOL! I have had rods without reel seats and I am not a fan. I do need an eye exam though!
Can somebody explain what a reel seat is to me cause I thought only bamboo poles didn't have reel seats, if there's no reel seat do you duck tape the reel to the rod?
actually, there are alot of rods built with slide clamps instead of reel seat, because the reel seat freezes up with ice... of coarse they are not needed here for sure..

DW...I have used electrical tape to secure reels to rods without reel seats. Then a product came out that is better than that,it's a tape but it comes in colors and is not proned to getting sticky on the outside of the tape. I prefere a reel seat.
Rods are being shipped down to me the week of February 7th. I have one rod to show everyone at the Conroe T incase you decide you want to order more or you decide the feel is not right for you. That way you are not buying something you have not physically seen or touched. I felt that was a better way to handle it since so many people want the rods and if you changed your mind about the rods after seeing them I am not stuck with $1000 worth of rods. Personally, I think the rods are awesome as I am sure you guys will also.
Okay, Robert from Fish Hazard Rods emailed me this morning and the rods are in the mail and should be here by the end of the week. I ordered 15 rods, more than I have orders for, in case someone wants to purchase more. I can be at the Chick Fil A in Conroe off FM 105 and I-45 in front of the Target Saturday morning at 10:00am for those who want to come by and get the rods you ordered.
So far I have rods for
David W x1 full grip Tommy x1 split grip Matt x1 split grip Micheal x1 full grip Lonnie x2 full and split grip Jeff x2 full and split grip Terry x1 full grip
If I missed anyone let me know or if you know of someone that wants to purchase a rod let me know also so I can reserve it.
Saturday morning won't work for me either. Can I give my money to Mark also, or I can meet up with you when you deliver rods to Mark. Daniel, you can call me anytime to make arrangements. HOME#936-856-8982 CELL#936-648-5071
