Gibbons Creek

Hey guys. I'm headed to Gibbons creek this Saturday. Never been. Any advice. Suggestion etc. I could use all the help available. Thanks.

Spinnerbaits around the little island off the launch. Frogs over the lilly pads (if they are there) to the east of the launch. Look for grass going into the intake...tx rigs and flukes. Crankbaits also work at the mouth of the intake. If there is current at the discharge, the fish in there will bite on almost anything. The spillway can be good if there is any grass around. And the railroad levee...separating the two sides of the lake, can be good on drop shots.

Be cautious navigating on the north end. Lots of standing timber and stumps. If you catch it right...Gibbons can be an outstanding trip.

Good luck.
