I went out early on 3/12/2017 after a front the night before. I began fishing the back of the coves by Ben****er Golf Course with a frog with no luck. However, I did see a bunch of carp splashing on the banks. After about 1/2 hour of nothingness, I began to fish the docks. I skipped a wacky rig under the first dock and got a hit. It was a really hard thump. I set the hook, and the next thing I realized is that I'm doing the "Iaconelli" running up and down the boat screaming "OMG, OMG, it's a giant". The fight took what seems like forever. It was tough getting it out of the water and finally into the boat. I weighed it, and scale reads almost 12 lbs. After I released it, I realized that it was the biggest fish I've ever caught. Sadly, it was a catfish, but I'm still counting it as a Personal Best. Can anyone suggest an easy way to get the slime off the boat carpet?
