Thanks Derek. Watching the video changed my fizzing strategy. I had all but decided to start doing it through the mouth (watching ESPN, and some pro anglers doing it that way - it seemed a lot faster, plus it seemed like you handle the fish a lot less that way). Now I'm going to stick with side entry, and tweak the angle I puncture a tad. I was going in at the correct place, 45 deg. under the scale...all that, but I was just staying at that angle. I didn't know that you were supposed to go half way in, then adjust the angle to 90 degrees and poke the needle the rest of the way in. I was just doing it the way I was trained before. I really appreciate the entities that care enough to do these trials.
