I looked at the baits and told myself how great a price that is. Saw a couple that I thought I wanted. Then I remembered that I don't have room in the boat and am running out of room in the shelves for any more baits.
How many of you remember as a kid having a tackle box that would hold 20-24 baits and looking forward to the time that you would have enough baits to have one in each tray?

And that had all the paint and hooks on them!! Also to be able to move up from the (Green) Zebco 202 to an Ambassador 5000 was a big deal!!! Ever try buzzing a spinner bait with a Zebco ? And my dad always hollaring at me for fishing behind the boat!! What did he think I was going to do with that 1 to 1 ratio reel!! LOL!! Good times!!!
I remember having the following: Torpedo, Jitterbug & Chugger for topwater H&H spinners white and chartreuse, Fliptail worms - black, blue and purple. Cotton Cordel hot spots in chrome & Bomber Crankbait - Bass colored. I was a fishin fool and reaching for a bait was simple.

I guess I've always been spoiled. I even have a picture of me at age 4 fishing with 2 rod & reels at the same time. I remember wanting a new bike that had a bike rack so that I could carry a bigger tackle box to go around the corner to my grandpa's pond. To this day I still have too much crap!

I just used night crawlers that I caught after evening rains...'till I figured out that I could sell them to the local bait shop for 50 cents a dozen. Then I was able to afford my first bass worms (the original Creme's), in "Red Punch" color.

uhhh memory lane is two aisles down and to the right and to be honest mister, I dont think our inventory goes back that far.
Growing up in So.California we would shock nightcrawlers out of the ground with house electricity, two coat hangers and two pieces of insulated wire. Not enough rain to get em like Ron did.

You were a spoiled little kid. I remember the first 5000 I bought at age about 17. Had a friend that worked at Western Auto so I got a deal. About $21. My dad made me take it back because it cost too much. (He got me one for Christmas)

Wow Terry "5000 I bought at age about 17" You are saying you bought your Garcia open face reel from Western Auto. I do remember the days just giving you a hard time. Garcia Mitchel 300 was before my 5000 C open face. I still have mine and use them to catch catfish and other species.
