LGC 3000 Module

Does anyone have one that I can use to check my LCX-113. Must be a LGC 3000 or 4000. The LGC 2000 won't work.
At the Gibbons JJ my unit indicated that the GPS module was not responding. I need to check if it is actually the module or the unit that has a problem. If it is the unit, I can send it in and hope to get it back. I have heard that when discontinued units are sent to Lowrance for repair, customers are being advised that it can't be repaired and offered a voucher for a couple hundred off a new HDS unit.
I just checked online and they have discontinued the LGC 2000's and 3000's modules. The only replacement is the LGC 4000 which is priced at $249.00 compared to $129.00 the LGC 3000 was sold for.
Oh well cry.gif.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yea. Derek is so so funny. Get a Hummingchicken...I don't think so.

I guess no one has a 3000 module. I guess I'll make a call to Lowrance and plead for mercy. Can't believe they discontinued the 2000 & 3000 modules.

How is that Matt Russell knows so much.  He is all knowing.  I bet he knows where Jimmy Hoffa is!!!!

It just goes to show what you can achieve with the proper amount of BS.

I was trying to think of something clever to add, but then I realized, if he does know where Jimmy Hoffa is then he also knows who shot Kennedy.

I think plan B is for getting a BIRD.

I know you said you'd never have a Humminbird, but remind me again what brand of sonar is on KVD's boat... just saying! biggrin

EUFAULA, Ala. (Sept., 2009) The most successful professional bass fisherman in history and the innovation leader in the marine electronics industry, have joined forces in a quest to capture more tournament victories.  Fresh off of winning his second consecutive B.A.S.S. Angler of the Year (AOY) title, Kevin VanDam is now an official member of the Humminbird® Pro Team and will compete in tournaments using the very latest in marine electronics technology.

Electronics are a key tool for me, and although I havent had had an electronics sponsor, Ive seen the advantages that Side Imaging technology provides and felt it was important to have every edge I can get, thats why I joined the Humminbird team, said VanDam.  Fishing the B.A.S.S. trail, I am well aware of Humminbirds reputation for providing reliable, high quality products, along with great service, and that is very important to me.  Lowrance just doesn't have that and if David Glezman would realize that, maybe I would give him a little more manlove instead of a restraining order.

Ok guys. Ya'll had to bring up the KVD word.
Ya'll need to also take into consideration what KVD has achieved over the past 18 years prior to signing with Hummingchicken. All done using Lowrance.
In my case it doesn't matter anywho. I don't have structure scan yet and can't afford a change at this time. I guess if I was offered product and $$$ I would use any brand that stepped up. Since I have always used Lowrance and my boat came with Lowrance, I will keep using Lowrance. Unless you two want to pony up some new electronics for me.
I can't believe ya'll brought up the KVD word again...LOL

Verdict is in. It is the module that has gone bad.

Thanks Terry Reed for the use of your 3000. I will drop it off tomorrow morning.

Erin can you give me a call. Might need to see about that 3000 that guy has for sale.
