It was an honor for Jason and I to see firsthand how hard those guys worked for that victory. They had a rock solid game plan...and even though the day 1 leaders came out of the north (where many say you can't win it unless you're fishing Kickapoo, or the river), Terry and Dustin proved everybody wrong.

A Big congrats. Way to go guys !!!

Of course I have to represent all the clubs now but I must say I was like a proud papa announcing Terry and Dustin as the 2016 TBTT Champions. So proud to see some of my fellow club members that I have known for years do so well. Well done. Also well done was Jason and Ron Gunter/Josh Bensema and Matt McArdle with a 7th and 8th place finish. SCBC was well represented. Ricky and Thomas didn't fair as well but fought all the way. It was good seeing 4 teams out of 31 total teams competing at this Championship. Lake Palestine Resort treated us very well and catered to our needs to the fullest.

Thanks for all the Congrats and support from all the club members. I must say the spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ was with us the whole way. We had lots of prayers from family and friends before and during the event which were very instrumental in our success. Dustin's mom sent a prayer both days and one part of her prayer ask for Jesus to guide and direct us; I can assure you we were guided and directed to each spot. Late on the first day we were sticking to our game plan or should I say I was sticking to the game plan when Dustin said I just do not feel going way back in this cove to fish docks is the ticket. After a short discussion and understanding where Dustin wanted to go, I agreed and headed to a spot we saw during practice; after 3 cast Dustin was netting my 8.16 lb. (we culled a 2 lber) bass that hit a "perch" colored senko. That decision was at 2 PM and was the difference in having a 13 pound bag to a 19 pound bag that put us in second place on day one. Day two we had 2 small ones on our big bass spot and later culled them with 5 solid bass totaling 22 plus lbs. (we were guided to each spot on day two as well). We did not loose any key bass which would have cost us first place for sure so that was another blessing. Had a great time staying with the Gunter's and congrats to them on having two solid days. Congrats to Josh, Matt, Thomas and Ricky as well. Looking forward to fishing Kentucky Lake and making being one of the top 3 Teams.
